Resumen

En este documento se presentan, de una manera concisa, los diferentes métodos que han sido desarrollados para el análisis de la estabilidad de pendientes. Estos métodos son comparados desde el punto de vista de los supuestos que cada uno de estos realizan para resolver el problema. Entre los métodos más utilizados están los Métodos de Equilibrio Límite con sus variantes, el Método de Análisis Límite basado en los teoremas del límite-inferior y límite superior, y los Métodos Numéricos poniendo énfasis en el método de los Elementos Finitos, en el cual se emplea la técnica de reducción de la resistencia del suelo. El presente documento presenta adicionalmente una compilación de referencias bibliográficas para cada método, que puede formar la base de partida para una mejora de cada metodología empleada en el análisis de la estabilidad de pendientes.
