Abstract

Marco Pillco (Ukucha) has a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Cuenca. He works as an illustrator and teaches drawing and painting at the Academia Más Arte. His work represents various species of flora that inhabit the Andean region. Through illustration, he intends to show the importance of each one of them, either for their curative and nutritional properties, or for their protection and shelter for living beings.
