Tratamiento de la Periodontitis en los Estadios I – III

Recientemente se ha publicado, en el Journal of Clinical Periodontology, la Guía de Práctica Clínica (GPC), con nivel S3, “Treatment of Stage I-III Periodontitis –The EFP S3 Level Clinical Practice Guideline”1 y una serie de 15 revisiones sistemáticas que informan sobre las recomendaciones formuladas2-16 . La GPC presenta un sistema de tratamiento de la periodontitis en estadios I-III, basado en la evidencia, y presentado en pasos sucesivos (“steps of therapy”), que se sustenta en el nuevo sistema de clasificación, disponible desde 201817.
