Abstract

The Ignatian Paradigm assumes the education as a process to raise persons, and considers the complexities currently evident nowadays: the spiral of silence, the discrediting of the humanities, the individualization of society, the exaltation of the ephemeral. “The Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador” together with “The National Polytechnic School” have chosen the importance of dialogue as a fundamental element in the learning-teaching process, and have conducted several research projects about it. In our investigation, the language skills are essential in the construction of knowledge, as they are closely related with the impulse given to the improvement of different forms of thought; our position considers the proposals of MIES, Deusto University’s Project of Higher Education Innovation’s Model, and some results from Harvard University’s Project Zero, particularly the one related to Learn how to think and think how to learn.
