Abstract

El desarrollo social en Ecuador ha llevado a que las ONGs, los gobiernos locales y las organizaciones comunitarias y ciudadanas asuman muchas de las responsabilidades que antes estaban en manos del gobierno central. En los últimos años, las Universidades se han sumado a este esfuerzo, y ello ha favorecido la formación de redes de apoyo al desarrollo social. ACORDES nació como un esfuerzo de este tipo, bajo acuerdo de la Universidad de Cuenca y la K. U. Leuven.
