INTERNET DE LAS COSAS EN EL ÁMBITO DE LOS SISTEMAS DE PLANIFICACIÓN COLABORATIVA DE PREVISIÓN Y REABASTECIMIENTO

Resumen

El concepto de Internet de las cosas (Internet of Things – IoT) hace alusión a una red de objetos cotidianos conectados mediante internet. Este concepto está produciendo importantes cambios en el uso que se le da a ciertos objetos y está teniendo un impacto considerable en las actividades que se realizan en las organizaciones. Así pues, cualquier objeto puede convertirse en un generador de información, estando disponible con mayor inmediatez a la ocurrencia de eventos. Esto puede ser aprovechado por las empresas para conocer más rápidamente y mejor el funcionamiento de su negocio y su entorno. La Planificación Colaborativa de Previsión y Reabastecimiento (Collaborative Planing Forecasting and Replenishment – CPFR) es la iniciativa de gestión empresarial que ofrece una mayor colaboración y visibilidad a través de la Cadena de Suministro (CdS). El IoT, compuesto mayoritariamente por tarjetas RFID, podrá ser una herramienta de especial relevancia en escenarios de CPFR, donde resulta fundamental compartir información cierta, para planificar con mayor precisión y responder con mayor eficacia a lo largo de la cadena de valor. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar la utilidad de IoT en un contexto CPFR
