In the audiovisual field, immersive audio offers the viewer the possibility of being transported to places they can easily recognize. Ambi-End: Musical Conversations for an Interactor and an Immersive Installation, a result of the project Art and New Media project: Artistic Research around their Symbiotic Relationship, rethinks this type of experience, making sound the protagonist. This large-scale work, premiered at the XI REDU International Research Congress, focuses on music-making process in an interactive 360º environment mediated by touch screens. As a research-creation project, Ambi-End combines a documentary approach with a creation laboratory. It is based on musical references from minimalism and ambient, such as Terry Riley and Brian Eno, and the autoethnographic techniques of López Cano and San Cristóbal, blending individual cadavre exquis exercises with creation-production sessions focused on the potential of an immersive system.
