FRAGMENTO DE "HOY NO HAY NADA NUEVO QUE CONTAR AQUÍ"

Abstract

Resumen:

La obra “Hoy no hay nada nuevo que contar aquí”, hace alusión en forma irónica al patrimonio que encierra la Catedral Vieja de la ciudad de Cuenca (Ecuador). Esta  edificación es parte de la Cuenca de las tradiciones y de la religiosidad. La escenificación se inicia con un tema bíblico extraído del Génesis, en el que se cuenta la historia de la entrega de la manzana por parte de Eva a Adán, luego de lo cual el Creador dice a la mujer que parirá con dolor y siempre estará delirando por el amor del hombre.

Abstract:

“Hoy no hay nada nuevo que contar aquí” (Today there is nothing new to tell here) is an stage work which alludes ironically to the heritage of the “Catedral Vieja” (famous cathedral from Cuenca, Ecuador). This edification is part of the city´ traditions and religion. The staging starts with a biblical theme extracted from “Genesis” which tells that Adam was tempted from Eva. So then, God says to the woman “you will give birth with pain and you will burn for the love of your husband who will rule over you”.
