Cannibal Aesthetics: inter, multi and transdisciplinary research in the current artistic field
Abstract
This work is a theoretical-methodological view of the investigative process of a group of teachers-art researchers who built, procedurally and collectively, in permanent dialogue and interinfluences, artistic works, theories and methodologies, aimed at overcoming the aesthetics of the hegemonic canon, exhausted by the incessant repetition and banality, as well as contributing to the renewal of artistic theory. This paper is not an account of the abundant and rich artistic and theoretical production but an analytical synthesis of some of its main transversal axes that encouraged the production of the artistic research group. We want to share a unique experience, a very significant collective process for its members and, possibly, for the current artistic scene. In conclusion, a process is systematized that demonstrates a different artistic production, generating aesthetic and theoretical knowledge, as a contribution of the public University to society and the artistic community.
