Abstract

This article aims to highlight the value of the philosophical and psychoanalytical reflections of Slavoj Žižek for art history, pointing the elements within his philosophical edifice that can function as a methodological tool for the discipline. Giving emphasis to the conceptualization of Slavoj Žižek’s theory of ideology and later confronting it with the work “blessed-bandwidth.net” by artist Shilpa Gupta as a brief case study.
