Eternal Everyday. Experimental photography as a means of rescuing objects discarded in the urban space
Abstract
“Eternal Everyday” is a research and creation project in the disciplinary cross between design and photography, aiming to resignify the waste found in the urban space (in particular, packages) and convert it, through the experimentation with photosensitive emulsions, into non-conventional photographic media. Everyday, transitory and ephemeral objects become provocatively memorable and potentially eternal artistic works and means of raising awareness about environmental emergencies. In addition, the connection between research in design and creation in visual arts generates a methodology that is replicable in other projects, as well as in other disciplinary areas.
Keywords: artistic creation, experimental photography, design research, packaging.
