Abstract

The present work deals with one of the triggers or creative devices in dance, corporeity and its conformation through the passage of life in individuals and peoples. The terms dance-theater and theatricality are reflected from the postmodern perspective and these reflections are related to the descriptions of the primitive dances of Curt Sachs and Ramiro Guerra who affirm that they are the expression of the seen, the experienced and the imagined. Then we continue with the description of the routes traveled by an indigenous community that lives in the Ecuadorian Andes, the Tunduchiles of Cañar. In their dances a practice of creativity based on the association of thoughts and images has been found. This fusion of the lived experiences with the fantasy that gives way to the creation of significant movements and to the trajectories in the space, could be used in dance theater choreographies as dynamics or tools that detonate other creativities.

Keywords: Corporeities, dancetheater, ancestral dances, theatricality, corporal-spatial trajectories.
