Between the cat and the painting

Abstract

It would seem that today, with all the messes we face in the short and long term, talking about something related to art is not very important. Why train artists if the world will presumably end sometime between 2050 and 2100? Why talk about art if this is an activity reserved for leisure time and we are increasingly concerned with practicality and survival? What importance will an excellent painting have when we will soon have to fight for a litre of water, and when migrations will no longer be caused by violence, unemployment or hunger, but by thirst?
