Abstract

Abstract:Research by a group of doctors from the University of La Laguna on the Canary Islands volcanic lands provide to the artist with material of properties and unsuspected possibilities. We can say that these materials, normally used as filler and abrasive material, can be used as pigments to produce stable and quality paintings. The results give a chromatic palette that identify a territory through observation and interpretation of the landscape.

Keywords: Volcanic soils, natural pigments, color, identity.
