Illusionism: productive models and investigative reconsiderations in times of isolation

Illusionism is a spectacular system based on deception. Three essential components are linked for the event to be effective: subjects, objects and context. Like other artistic expressions, illusionism suffers the impact of sanitary isolation. If a practice founded on spectacular coexistence and collaborative participation is mediated by a virtual support, theatricality, understood as an event of the "here and now", is weakened. Assuming these distortions as ineffable, it is convenient to stop at the opportunities generated by the current situation, analyzing the benefits that the situation causes at the productive and investigative level. This reflection aspires to be a part of the ongoing research, focused on practice, and developed within the framework of the Doctorate in Arts of the National University of the Arts (UNA - Bs. As.), Whose subject of study is the object of illusionism.
Keywords: Illusionism, virtuality, research, theatricality.
