Abstract

Ecuadorian art music comprises great composers such as Pedro Pablo Traversari, Sixto María Durán, Gerardo Guevara, Corsino Durán Carrión, and Segundo Luis Moreno, among others, whose works stand out and enrich the nation's musical repertoire. Due to their academic and sociocultural significance, these musical works and their composers transcend the written score, merging into a single heartbeat where creator and composition become inseparable; consequently, their analysis and interpretation are indispensable within the national context.
