Impacto de la escolaridad en el embarazo adolescente: un análisis multinivel por provincias de Ecuador para el año 2019

Este estudio examina cual es el impacto que la formación académica tiene en el embarazo adolescente en Ecuador durante el año 2019, empleando análisis estadísticos descriptivos, modelos probabilísticos de elección discreta y un análisis multinivel en dos escalas: individual y provincial. Los datos provienen de fuentes del INEC: ENSANUT y ENEMDU. Los resultados revelan que el 15,8% de las jóvenes quedaron embarazadas ese año, con una brecha educativa de 1,2 años entre quienes vivieron esta situación y quienes no. Cursar un año escolar adicional disminuye 3,4% las posibilidades de maternidad adolescente, mostrando mayor efectividad en etapas tempranas. A nivel territorial, las provincias con mayor densidad poblacional y desarrollo económico presentan 59,2% más probabilidad de gestación juvenil. Esta problemática afecta principalmente a comunidades rurales y grupos étnicos vulnerables, poniendo en manifiesto la necesidad de diseñar estrategias gubernamentales contextualizadas geográficamente que promuevan el acceso educativo e iniciativas de educación sexual y reproductiva.
