Social aspects in land use planning
Abstract
Spatial planning is a branch of science that links society and space through the human activities of the population. In some cases, it has concentrated only on the distribution of activities in a given space, leaving aside the other social relations that transcend the economic activities of the users. This essay seeks to approach the importance of society not only from the perspective of land use, but also from the different aspects of the population that influence their sense of belonging, appropriation, care and participation, in order to finally show the importance of social aspects in land use planning in Ecuador.
Keywords: spatial planning, population, socio-cultural component.
