Museum and Community: A case of study of Agua Blanca community located in the core of Machalilla National Park
Abstract
The study briefly presents the origin of the commune and analyses the process of re-indigenization that community people have, regarding living in a space declared as natural heritage. Communards have given an important lesson to the state organisms, for whom communities should leave the declared National Park territory. Inhabitants perform evidence of how their presence supports Machalilla park’s nature sustainability as natural heritage, concerning its maintenance and management.
Keywords: Commune, natural heritage, sustainability.
