The Citizen Participation Council: Chronicle of a Death Foretold
Abstract
The Citizen Participation Council was born with the 2008 constitution, as one of the most advanced constitutions in the global context in terms of the rights of citizen participation. A brief analysis of the three functions granted by constitutional mandate to promote citizen participation in the designation of control authorities and the fight against corruption, through a documentary analysis of these functions, shows a red balance compared to the expectations of citizens, and now subsists under the threat of its disappearance.
