The human being who will emerge from the crisis
Abstract
Society is facing a multiple civilisational crisis that combines climate change and unprecedented inequality. To face these challenges it is necessary, in addition to democratic mechanisms to build fair and sustainable rules of the game in society, to reflect on those incentives that define the individual and allow him or her to interact in a certain way in society. The article briefly reviews some elements of the conception of the human being that we have constructed in recent centuries, how they have influenced, and how we can promote behaviours and attitudes in people that are capable of facing the contemporary challenges we face as humanity.
