Abstract
This article is about the right to freedom of religion, which is legally recognized in the Magna Carta of the Republic of Ecuador and in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, however it is broken in the exercise of it, since there are elements discriminatory and inequality that can be demonstrated in the legal, social, cultural, informative, educational, among others. From this point of view, other rights are also violated or restricted, such as freedom of conscience, of thought and opinion, of communication and information, and of expression, since the law does not work in isolation, but encompasses a whole composed of parts, and vice versa, this being the true essence of law. This problem has a strong impact on the work of doctors and on the patients, who are urged for healing before they lose their lives. This arises because society has not been made aware and sensitized that there are other religious beliefs and practices that allow them to perform or not activities other than the Catholic religion, always seeking to guarantee all the rights and objectives of good living.
