Pulmonary sequestration is a rare pathology, which presents with repeated or severe chronic infections. It can be associated with congenital malformations. The diagnosis is based on the detection of anomalous irrigation through a vessel of the systemic circulation. It is a female patient, 19 years old, with a history of asthma and repeated respiratory infections; consultation by pulmonary clinical picture with evidence of pleural effusion and left pulmonary sequestration, left posterolateral thoracotomy is performed where pulmonary abscess is identified in the left lower lobe with purulent content, left lower lobe resection is performed, clinical and radiographic control in the immediate postoperative period And it was satisfactory. We present the case of adulthood, where an adequate diagnosis and multidisciplinary management allow a satisfactory evolution of the patients.
