Open access policy

Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad de Cuenca adopts an open-access policy, based on the principle that providing the public with free and immediate access to research results fosters a global exchange of scientific knowledge.

All journal content is freely available to readers without restrictions, subscriptions, or fees. This model promotes the democratization of knowledge and ensures that published research can be consulted, downloaded, distributed, and cited by anyone, contributing to the advancement of health sciences.

Publication Cost: The journal does not charge fees for manuscript submission, processing, or publication (APC-Free). This commitment reinforces its mission to support the scientific community, especially in middle- and low-income countries, ensuring equity in access to knowledge.
