Abstract

The text establishes links between the Aesthetic-Environmental Education (EEA), Ethnography and the aesthetic-educational practice that we carry out in the extension course "The aesthetic-environmental dimension in the curriculum setting", with students from the third year of the Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande-FURG (Brazil, 2016), with the aim of elucidating how the processes of Aesthetic Education linked to processes of Environmental Education contribute to a more comprehensive formation of personality. To do this, we cross-link between theorists of the EEA, especially Pablo René Estévez, the main reference in this field; from Ethnography and Anthropology (such as Roberto Cardoso de Oliveira, Mariza Peirano and Carlos Rodriguez Brandão), and from the Bioecological Theory of Human Development, by Urie Bronfenbrenner. An outline of the implemented Aesthetic-Environmental Awareness Workshops is offered, based on a more comprehensive training of subjects regarding the man-nature-society bond, as well as the understanding and interpretation of reality from the perspective of the EEA.
