The forms of completion of studies in postgraduate programs are dissimilar, as they respond to various purposes, characteristics and conditions on which the program is built and developed. Among these ways to finish the studies that are adopted in fourth-level programs are those that respond to methodological perspectives, such is the case of the instructive methodological class. The objective of the article is to reflect on the instructive methodological class as a proposal to complete postgraduate studies with a professional career. Through documentary analysis, observation and interviews, the study of the subject is carried out and conclusions are reached. This type of class is generally associated with teaching-methodological work organized as a work system, where the instructive methodological class is one of the forms it adopts. With the projection of this type of class as a way to complete postgraduate studies, a level of priority is rescued and / or offered to the methodological aspect in fourth-level training, together with theoretical and practical training. Three distinctive elements are analyzed in the process of construction of the instructive methodological class: the methodological objective, the methodological conceptual problem and the conceptual basis on which the class is built. Similarly, a minimal and flexible structure is proposed to present this type of study completion form, as well as suggestions for its evaluation.
