Abstract

I chose this title for an approach to Visceral, the last work by María Fernanda Ampuero (1976), regarding a broader investigation on what I have called "cartographies of loss" where I observe the narrative poetic displacements that occur in several fictional text written by Latin American authors such as Lina Meruane and Valeria Luiselli, and Ecuadorian authors such as Andrea Crespo. Karina Sánchez or Daniela Alcívar. This approach began with the delimitation of what I thought of as the writers who stay, from a perspective of observation of the fictional migratory phenomenon since the displacements that occur in the fictional production of Crespo, Sánchez or Alcívar materialize within the Ecuadorian territory while they also write their literature from Ecuador, as opposed to the writers who have left like Ampuero, Ojeda, Sonia Guiñansaca and Carla Badillo, and whose projection has been enhanced from the editorial point of view, with all that this implies. The vision of Las que se van is the title of a panel presented by four researchers from this University who work on various aspects related to migration, flight, and creation in Ecuadorian Literature.
