International physical distribution is essential for the success of international purchases, as it encompasses fundamental logistic processes for the profitability of organizations and consumer satisfaction. In this context, the objective of this study is to analyze the perception of Colombian importers and the effects of international physical distribution on purchases from China. A methodological design with a quantitative approach and explanatory character was implemented, which allowed for deeper analysis of habits and influences on purchase decisions through surveys. The data obtained were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software, version 29.0. The population and sample corresponded to 105 Colombian importers, through non-probabilistic sampling. The findings reveal that importers prefer Chinese products due to their cost-benefit ratio, which is attributed to efficiency in logistics performance and the wide variety of options available in the market.
