Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between attitudes toward debt and the financial well-being of entrepreneurs in the San Martín region, a context characterized by an emerging economy and limited access to formal credit. A quantitative approach was used, employing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a correlational focus. Data were collected using a structured online questionnaire, which was validated by five experts. Descriptive statistics and Spearman’s Rho correlation coefficient were used for data analysis. The findings reveal a moderate and significant positive relationship between attitudes toward debt and financial well-being (Rho = 0,417; p = ,001). These results suggest that a more favorable attitude toward debt is associated with higher levels of perceived financial well-being among entrepreneurs.
