This article examines the affective turn as an epistemological event in the social and human sciences, exploring its impact on the contemporary understanding of religion, spirituality, and the production of subjectivity. Far from being a theoretical trend, the affective turn reconfigures thought on the body, power, and sensibility, allowing the religious to be read as a field of intensities and practices of governing feeling. From a poststructuralist and Latin American perspective, it proposes an articulation between the notions of lived religion, biopolitics, and affectivity, showing how religious and spiritual experiences constitute affective technologies of subjectivation and, at the same time, spaces of resistance to neoliberal governmentality. The analysis unfolds in a philosophical and critical key, recognizing sensible life as a political terrain of dispute and the creation of the common.
