Her area of specialization is epilepsy and the bio-discovery of active ingredients through the isolation and phytopharmacological characterization of active ingredients present in natural products, as well as the management of biological models of zebrafish and mice for scientific experimentation. Representative of Ecuador in the Latin American Fish Network Zebra (LAZEN). She is the author of several scientific articles in national and international indexed journals. Inventor in the application of pharmaceutical patent on active principles of Turmeric in the treatment of epilepsy, of which the University of Cuenca is co-owner.
