Lecturer of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cuenca since 2015. Since 2000, he has participated in many national and international research and consulting projects related to Environmental Sciences, especially in the field of hydrology and hydraulics. Edison obtained his Civil Engineering degree in 1999 and a Master of Sciences in Management and Conservation of Water and Soil in 2004, at the University of Cuenca. In 2009 he completed his second Master of Science in Environmental Management of Water Systems at the University of Cantabria in Spain and in 2015 he graduated as Doctor (magna cum laude) in Natural Sciences (PhD) at the University of Giessen in Germany . His field of expertise deals with the study of catchment hydrological processes, through the use of natural tracers of water such as stable isotopes or their chemical elements. He has conducted research stays at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), in Leuven, Belgium (2000 and 2004) and published, as lead author and co-author, many scientific studies related to watershed hydrology in peer-reviewed journals. He has also reviewed scientific articles for the journal Hydrology and Earth System Sciences.
