Professor and researcher at the Carlos III University (UC3M) of Madrid with more than 18 years of university teaching experience (different Degrees and Masters) focused on Renewable Energies and Control of Electrical Machines. Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Award of the UC3M (2001). She has participated in 15 R & D Projects funded in public Calls and 8 in R & D contracts of special relevance with Companies and / or Administrations. These projects focus on the integration of wind energy in the electrical system, the use of appropriate technologies and inter-university collaboration with higher education institutions in Latin American and Caribbean countries (Ecuador, Nicaragua, Haiti and Cuba). She is the main author of 5 international publications (cited in more than 900 international publications): https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=56276197100. She has also participated in 30 contributions to congresses. Her field of research focuses on renewable energies, the control of hybrid micro-networks and the appropriate technologies for human development. She has supervise more than 50 students of final year projects, Final Master Thesis and doctoral thesis. Currently and in her work as Deputy Director of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Carlos III University of Madrid since 2003, she also supervises the assignment of Final Degree Projects and Master Thesis to more than 100 students of Electrical Engineering and Engineering in Industrial Technologies each year.
