The lack of interest in reading among college students has become a problem that escapes the initiative of governmental educational institutions. Two factors that have prevented the education of readers have been the mechanical use of computers and cell phones, and the absence of a methodology that explicitly encompasses the reading experience and the possibility to aprehend the text. This article presents reading as the passage from verbal to non verbal going from the acknowledgment of the rules that allow the codification and decodification of a determined genre, such as narrative, poetic, journalistic, etc.; as well as the construction of an image from the reading within a specific context built by the reader, along with his experience in his everyday life as a playful recreational act of reading.
