The present work proposes an approach between the jurists or law practitioners and the literature, waiting this way that they improve the projection of their work through a humanist interaction with literary works as reality simulators. For that we propose a reading of Egar Allan Poe’s tale “The black cat” that addresses legal issues presently important such as feminicide, animal abuse and domestic violence. The followed methodology is a literary analysis of the of the aforementioned work and a monographic exposition to issues like justice, literature, law and their relationship
