This essay aims to offer a playful reading of some books and authors from Ecuadorian literature that are rarely read today, despite being considered classics. Thus, writers such as Gonzalo Zaldumbide, Remigio Crespo, and Manuel J. Calle are read, weaving together some digressions around certain fragments of their works.
