Challenges and contemporary trends in the training of the Cultural and Artistic Education teacher

Abstract

The article addresses the essential elements to take into account in the training of teachers of Cultural and Artistic Education, in order to respond to the social demands made on the Universities specified in material and spiritual demands for the transformation of the social environment into common goods. The study aims to reveal the challenges, trends and universal objectives of Cultural and Artistic Education for teacher training. For this, the theoretical systematization is carried out for the clarification of the main theoretical elements that support the objectives, challenges and trends of Cultural and Artistic Education in teacher training, through analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction as theoretical methods for the bibliographic review. As main contributions and results, the universal objectives for the training of teachers for the Cultural and Artistic Education subject. In addition, theorizing about the challenges that in this minute vitalize the training of these teachers and a critical assessment is made of the essential qualities that must characterize a teacher to take on the challenges of today's society. Likewise, current trends in the training of Cultural and Artistic Education teachers are revealed.
