Abstract

This article, derived from the thesis A look at the presence of ICTs in undergraduate arts programs in Colombia of the Master's in Education at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, analyzes the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the teaching of the arts. Based on 70 articles published between 2003 and 2022 in databases such as Scopus, Taylor & Francis and SciELO, it explores the challenges, opportunities and difficulties of using ICTs in arts education. The results show that ICTs, including social networks, the Internet and mobile devices, have generated new opportunities for institutions, students and teachers, favoring pedagogical innovation, the updating of methods and collaborative work. In addition, they show a growing acceptance of these technologies, which transforms educational practices and enhances creativity and interaction in artistic learning. The importance of continuing to investigate their impact to strengthen artistic education is highlighted.
