The investigation is carried out the analysis of the influence of the information systems on the competitiveness of the microenterprise of the wood furniture manufacturing sector of the Cuenca canton in the province of Azuay in the Republic of Ecuador. For this, a model of competitiveness analysis is elaborated, the same one that is formed by five constructs or variables; four of them operated from the context of the information systems, which involve: planning, inputs, processes and outputs; and the fifth formed by the variable competitiveness. The work begins with the analysis of the literature, the description of the materials and methods used, the determination of four hypotheses, starting point to elaborate the proposed model whose validation and verification is executed with structural equations. In the end the conclusions of the study are drawn up, where it is determined that there are difficulties in the structure of the information systems, in this type of microenterprises as more emphasis is given to the information output, rather than to the entry and the process of the same.
