TERRITORY, DRUG TRAFFICKING AND WAR IN THE COLOMBIAN AMAZON

The Putumayo territory in the Colombian Amazon is a node that links the Latin
American integration project, between eastern Colombia and the south of the continent,
between the Amazon River and the Pacific Ocean. The reorganization of the territory is
at the center of the dispute over the creation of conditions for competitiveness in the
global market, the intensification of oil activity and the impact of illicit economies,
especially those of drug trafficking profits.
The exogenous allocation of the territorially model generates perverse effects on
society, destruction of existing social networks and the expansion of various forms of
violence.
