As a research assistant and lecturer at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen (Germany), David is mainly focused on breaching the gap between hydro-biogeochemical field studies and hydrological modelling application. In the cause of his academic career he has published a series of articles e.g. on global change impacts on hydrology and the application of stable isotopes in hydrology. His portfolio of classes currently taught at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen comprises advanced GIS, practical courses on field methods in hydrology, as well as geo-statistics. From 2010 to 2014 he received the graduate scholarship for his Phd, which was in 2015 awarded with the price for the best dissertation from the Justus Liebig University. Currently he is involved in the coordination of several research projects around the globe and the supervision of several PhD candidates and graduate students from Kenia, Germany and Ecuador.
