Editorial committee roles and responsibilities

Honorary Editor:

Support in the dissemination and internationalization of the journal.

Editor:

  • Authority responsible for determining the editorial content of the journal and its accuracy.
  • Regularly review the work of the Editorial Committee and make recommendations related to that work.
  • Oversee the timely publication of the journal.
  • Preside over Editorial Committee meetings.
  • Appoint, in consultation with the rest of the Editorial Committee members, individuals capable of maintaining the highest editorial standards in accordance with the journal's objectives.
  • The editor will provide a forum for Editorial Board members to present and discuss ideas for the journal's development.
  • Changes to the journal suggested by the Editor will be considered final.

Assistant Editor:

  • Review the relevance of articles submitted to the journal.
  • Participate in editorial team meetings to determine the activities necessary for editorial workflow monitoring.
  • Act as a liaison between authors, reviewers, and the editorial team.
  • Editing, formatting (in different formats), and stylistic correction of texts approved by peer reviewers. o Propose reviewers for articles that pass the relevance evaluation phase.
  • Manage the editorial process of the journal through the platform assigned by the institution.
  • Promote the published content in each edition of the journal.
  • Manage new calls for submissions.

 Editorial Committee Roles:

  • Request articles/manuscripts for each issue of the journal.
  • Review, edit, and approve the technical content of the journal.
  • Identify and suggest key topics to include in the journal and invite relevant authors to submit articles on these topics.

Editorial Committee Obligations:

A fundamental activity of Editorial Committee members is the verification or initial review, regarding compliance with the basic requirements detailed in the Author Guidelines of any research article.

General Responsibilities of all Members:

Each and every member of the editorial board should make efforts to invite, using their contact networks, the submission of high-quality research articles. They should strive to increase the popularity/awareness of the journal, encourage colleagues and students to read and subscribe.
