Abstract

This article is based on The Golden Age by José Martí. It sets out that through this publication deliberately made for children, the author puts forward that both, reading and writing, are actions that children should be able to accomplish in order to struggle for a future, free of political subjugation. Reading will contribute to become “the man of tomorrow who will be able to restore the deed in its historical Latin American moment.
