“Consciencia” lingüística y desarrollo cognitivo en la formación universitaria

In this paper the theoretical, pedagogical and didactic model, that currently covers the courses of communicative skills at Universidad Eafit, is presented. This model holds a communicative and interdisciplinary character, which center is constituted by the student and his linguistic universe. This is a sociocultural model, which opens towards the language and its social, pragmatic and communicative function, whose guideline is to develop communication skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
