Variables de la relación terapéutica asociadas con la asistencia a programas de tratamientos de conductas adictivas

Uno de los principales objetivos en el ámbito de tratamiento de los trastornos adictivos es fomentar la asistencia del paciente al tratamiento, esto debido a que la permanencia en el tratamiento está relacionada con su efectividad. Por ello, en este estudio se analizó en qué medida ciertos factores de la relación terapéutica se relacionan con mayor asistencia de los pacientes que acuden a una comunidad terapéutica. Participaron en el estudio un total de 90 pacientes y 8 terapeutas. Los resultados del análisis de regresión lineal revelaron que la percepción de los pacientes de una adecuada alianza terapéutica, actitudes positivas de su terapeuta y ciertos factores del estilo personal del terapeuta, se asocian a mayor asistencia. Por lo expuesto, el estudio de estas variables debería considerarse para mejorar las tasas de retención en los tratamientos de drogodependencias.
