This text is the presentation of the DIGITAL SPACES dossier, which explores the digital potential in the redefinition of contemporary spatiality. The articles in the dossier analyse proposals of various kinds that examine the characteristics of this new spatiality. Among others, dematerialisation, kinaesthesia, threedimensionality, immersiveness, interactivity and connectivity. The different research presented delves into case studies such as lighting installations, technological devices, video games and virtual environments, highlighting those
creative strategies that contribute to the generation of a new augmented space. It is shown how these proposals generate immersive spaces that combine the visual, the sound and the tactile, redefining the traditional perception of space. It also highlights the capacity of the digital medium to amplify the pre-existing spatial reality by superimposing images and visual narratives. A new scenographic spatiality, where the digital enables new and singular forms of experimentation of space.
