Diseño de una aplicación móvil para monitorear la cobertura GSM en Cuenca

Abstract

RESUMEN
Este artículo presenta e-Cobertura, una aplicación móvil para Android SO, que fue desarrollada para medir la intensidad de señal GSM recibida en un teléfono inteligente, y presenta un mapa representativo alojado en la Web llamado coberturaWeb, el cual fue generado en base a las mediciones realizadas. e-Cobertura además permite presentar los parámetros tanto de la red como del dispositivo, y la representación estadística de estos datos. coberturaWeb, no solo ilustra las mediciones adquiridas por la aplicación, también permite interactuar con el usuario con el fin de obtener información detallada de zonas específicas de la ciudad.

ABSTRACT
This paper presents e-Cobertura, a mobile application developed for the Android Operating System for measuring GSM signal power, and presents a Web-hosted representative coverage map generated based on the taken measurements called coberturaWeb. e-Cobertura allows presenting parameters of the network and the mobile device used for measurement, as well as statistical representation of these data. coberturaWeb not only shows the measurements acquired by the application, but also allows the user to interact with it in order to obtain detailed information about specific areas of the city.
