    The International Symposium of Neurosciences emerged as a response to the absence of a joint and interdisciplinary work in the area of Neuroscience, where diverse research from the areas of Psychology, Engineering, Arts, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Architecture converged. It became a space for scientific, cultural-artistic and academic dissemination. This event was held at the facilities of the Univesidad de Cuenca, Ecuador, from September 26 to 29, 2017.

    CEDIA and the Universidad Técnica del Norte (UTN) organized the 5th. Ecuadorian Congress of Information and Communication Technologies - TIC.EC 2017, oriented to topics such as communication networks, engineering software, computer science, architectures and IT management, web technology, intelligent territory management and ICTs in education. This congress was held in the facilities of the Universidad Técnica del Norte, on November 15, 16 and 17, 2017, with the participation of representatives of the Higher Education Institutions (IES) throughout the country and professionals in diverse areas of knowledge related to the topics of the congress. The edition and pubication of best scientific and technical accepted congress papers was only possible thank to support of the editorial team of Maskana. 

  • Proceedings of the 4th. Ecuadorian Congress of Information and Communication Technologies - TIC.EC 2016

    CEDIA and the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil (UCSG), organized the 4th. Ecuadorian Congress of Information and Communication Technologies - TIC.EC 2016. This congress was held on the university campus during November 16, 17 and 18, 2016. Participants were deputations from Higher Education Institutions (IES) from throughout the country, interested in topics related to communication networks, software engineering, computer science, architectures and management of IT, web technology, intelligent territory management and ICTs in education. The 23 papers presented in this special edition of Maskana, were peer-reviewed by experts from Europe and America.

    Proceedings of the 3rd. Ecuadorian Conference on Information Technology and Communications, TIC.EC 2015, organized by CEDIA and the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL). The Congress was held in Loja, Ecuador, on December 2, 3 and 4, 2015. This document is a compendium of the best technical (12) and research (12) papers related to the topics of the congress: research of communication networks, software engineering, computer science, architectures and IT management, web technology, intelligent territory management and ICT in education. This edition counted with the collaboration of more than 90 reviewers from different parts of the world.

  • Proceedings of the Internation Congresss of Animal Production Especialized in Bovines

    The congress, held in Cuenca on June 3, 4 and 5, 2015, sought to combine knowledge of the agronomic and veterinary sciences, related to animal production. The spotlight of this Congress was the participation of 13 researchers from different countries (Argentina, Cuba, Europe, United States of America) who presented 15 masterful talks. The topics dealt with management, nutrition, reproduction, genetics and animal health. In addition, research works carried out in research institutions and higher education in the country and abroad were presented. More than 30 research topics were presented in the form of posters and oral presentations.

  • Proceedings of the 2nd. Ecuadorian Congress of Information and Communication Technologies - TIC.EC 2014

    Second edition of the Ecuadorian Congress on Information Technologies and Communications, TIC.EC 2014, held in Cuenca, Ecuador, from December 2 to 5, 2014, and jointly organized by CEDIA and the University of Cuenca, coinciding with the events held by the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cuenca (R + D + Engineering). The papers presented were peer-reviewed by researchers and technicians members of the Program Committee of the conference.  16 scientific articles and 12 technical articles were accepted out of a total of 80 submissions.

R & D + engineering 2014 served as a scientific scenario for the simultaneous realization of the Congress of Civil Engineering, the Congress of Pattern Recognition, Intelligent Control, Communications and Biomedical Engineering (MATCH'14), the Ecuadorian Conference on Information Technologies and Communications (TIC.EC). The agenda of the R & D + engineering congresses included seven plenary lectures, 70 scientific talks in which the accepted articles were presented, 37 technical talks by renowned professionals and invited researchers, a seminar on biomedical engineering and many others on technology of the information and communications.

    Proceedings of the Second Congress of Animal Production, Specialized in Bovines, developed during the days 19, 20 and 21 of October 2017 in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. The Congress was organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cuenca.
