Evaluación de la accesibilidad de MOOC orientados a la tercera edad
Abstract
RESUMEN
Actualmente, las organizaciones gubernamentales de todo el mundo prestan mucha atención a los sectores prioritarios. Entre ellos, se enmarca el grupo de los adultos mayores, quienes constituyen una gran parte de la población y por lo que se requieren herramientas que permitan la difusión de conocimiento que mejore sus condiciones de vida. Una solución adecuada para transmitir dicho conocimiento son las herramientas de aprendizaje masivo en línea, como los Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Sin embargo, la mayoría de esfuerzos se centra en la producción de MOOC generales, los mismos que no tienen en cuenta aspectos de accesibilidad orientados a los adultos mayores o, en su defecto, se proponen metodologías y técnicas de creación de este tipo de herramientas para adultos mayores, pero sin medios de soporte para su evaluación o que estén alineadas con normas internacionales de calidad de producto. Este artículo presenta un modelo de accesibilidad alineado con la norma ISO/IEC 25010, que constituye la entrada hacia un proceso de evaluación de los MOOC para este sector de la población. Para su construcción, se ha realizado una descomposición jerárquica de las características de accesibilidad, según la metodología de construcción de modelos de calidad individuales (IQMC). Finalmente, para mostrar la factibilidad de esta propuesta, se evalúa un MOOC para determinar si este cumple con los atributos de accesibilidad, necesarios para ser utilizado por adultos mayores. Consecuentemente, este aporte contribuye de una forma directa al momento de construir MOOC para adultos mayores.

ABSTRACT
Currently, government organizations around the world are paying attention to the vulnerable sectors of the population, among which we find the elderly people, who constitute a big portion of inhabitants. Therefore, it has been necessary to create tools that allow the diffusion of knowledge that will improve their quality of life. Therefore, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), which are tools that allow online learning, have been considered as a suitable solution. However, most efforts are centered in the general production of MOOCs and are not oriented towards the special needs of accessibility for elderly people, or they have proposed methodologies and techniques to create specific tools for elderly people without considering supporting ways to evaluate them. This paper presents an accessible model aligned with the ISO/IEC 25010, which can be used as an input towards an evaluation process for MOOCs for elderly people. To accomplish the creation of the accessibility model the IQCM methodology was implemented. Finally, to show the feasibility of this proposal we have applied it to MOOC to determine if it possesses the accessibility characteristics required by elderly people. Therefore, this study contributes directly in the building of MOOC for elderly people.
